Sean K. Clark

Sean Clark is the Director of Information Security for Brintech. He has extensive training dealing with sensitive security issues and evaluating and establishing protected network systems. Sean used his computer knowledge to serve two tours in the U.S. Navy, during which he worked to ensure secure transmissions over highly encrypted audio/video satellite links. After the Navy, Sean worked with a government law enforcement agency to provide encryption procedures to ensure secure data transmission. Subsequently, Sean joined a Fortune 500 firm’s hardware department, testing the Token Ring, Ethernet 10/100, and ATM core switches/adapters. He also held positions in software testing to provide a portable client to a majority of operating systems communicating to AS/400s, MVS, VSE/ESA, and other host platforms. He also tested the first iteration of the firm’s thin-client technology. Sean has worked to design one of the first online banking infrastructures for one of the nation’s largest banks and has designed the majority of the security portion for another major bank’s migration to a secure IP network. Sean holds a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), OPSA (OSSTMM Professional Security Analyst), and The National Security Agency’s IAM (InfoSec Assessment Methodology) security certification, is a member of InfraGuard, ISSA, and attends regular security conferences hosted by MIS Training Institute and CSI (Computer Security Institute) and Black Hat. Sean Clark also speaks at various Financial Institutional User Groups and Conferences on Network Security issues and trends.
